Miss Plainwell may have other thoughts about that.

I think that’s Caldwell speaking. Frazz’ lines are in upper case.

You’re lucky, Caulfield – you don’t have to grow up…

Phase transitions can be quite beautiful. I once saw a foggy window freeze over in the course of a few seconds, leaving crystal areas several inches long/wide. Wow!

What about the latent heat of fusion? Without it, things cannot change… just saying…

Is this a harbinger of higher res artwork in 2020? I like it…

Okay, it’s a little bit gimmicky, but it’s kind of fun, wouldn’t you say?

Bonus fun for me is how one gimmick — Frazz behind the cleared frost as we don’t break the fourth wall so much as peer through it — leads to another. I didn’t want to do traditional dialogue balloons and let that much white space distract from the white space that makes the art work. But I also didn’t want to break it up into a bunch of frames; it works better as a single frame. Hence the two different lettering styles.

I think it works, but if it doesn’t, well, it wasn’t going to be permanent anyway. We’ll go back to normal tomorrow. I don’t fear change, but I’d just as soon avoid commitment. Hmm. Why does that sound familiar?
