Why do people go ice fishing anyway, when it’s SO MUCH EASIER to go to the grocery store and BUY as much ice as you want…instead of having to fish for it….

How to properly ice fish.

Cut hole in ice.

Surround said hole with peas.

When the fish comes up to take a pea, you wack it in the head!

Local hunting/fishing columnist wrote that he saw people trying for Darwin awards on the ice which is way too thin to walk on safely.

I have never ice fished. I just can’t bring myself to see that as fun, but more power to the hardy few who do.

Three young guys went ice fishing on a local reservoir. Drove their truck out onto the ice and had a great time doing fancy turns and skidding around. Finally got to fishing. Drilled a hole and then their drilling tool fell into the hole and it was quite awhile before they heard a splash. Turns out the water in the reservoir had been drawn down, so they were suspended on the sheet of ice. They decided not to fish. The truck owner asked the others to get in so they could drive to the shore, the others said no thanks they’d rather walk.

Fish brain.

It was exactly that kind of thinking that had me quit several jobs….
