Linus sits on the floor in the bedroom putting on his shoes and socks.<BR><BR> As he rummages through a drawer, Lucy walks in behind him and asks,"Have you studied your Sunday school lesson?"<BR><BR> He pulls on his coat and replies,"I'm working on it...I'm practicing doing three things at once..."<BR><BR> He puts his finger up and continues,"All it takes is balance and coordination of which I happen to have plenty of both!"<BR><BR> He puts his foot in his shoe, buttons his shirt, and and reads from a book atop his dresser. He says,"See? I can read the lesson, button my shirt, and slip my feet into my shoes all at the same time..."<BR><BR> Lucy watches as everything scatters and Linus falls.<BR><BR> As he lays dazed on the floor, she looks at the book and says,"Lesson for today...second Samuel...first chapter....verse 19...'How the mighty have fallen'"<BR><BR>

Lucy was referring to the “Song of the Bow”, written by King David to commemorate the bravery, and lament the loss, of King Saul and his son, Prince Jonathan, who is a friend of David, at the battle at Mount Gilboa.
