Charlie Brown stands on the pitcher's mound and looks up. He says, "Catch it, Lucy . . . Please catch it!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown screams in frustration.<BR><BR> The ball goes over Lucy's head and falls behind her.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown stands next to Lucy and shouts, "What in the world is the matter with you? Can't you catch anything?"<BR><BR> Lucy hands the ball to Charlie Brown and says, "When you talk to a girl, Charlie Brown, You're supposed to take off your cap . . . You didn't take off your cap when you came out to talk to me . . How come you didn't do that?"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown walks away. Lucy continues, "When a boy talks to a girl, he's supposed to take off his cap."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown stands on the pitcher's mound and winds up to pitch. Lucy stands behind him and says, "You don't know very much, do you, Charlie Brown?"<BR><BR> Lucy wears a cap on her head and over her face. She walks to the outfield and says, "Baseball managers are impossible to talk to!"<BR><BR>

That seems exactly the right way to talk to Lucy!

Sure,Lucy will find just about ANY excuse, to stop CB from hollering at her, just because something he either did or didn’t do, is “bad etiquette,” in Lucy’s eyes. There was a daily strip from around 1960, of CB yelling at her during a ball game, for poor play, and she pointed out that “his cap was touching her cap,” which also was bad manners, in her eyes. And now here, it was simply “a male MUST ALWAYS remove his hat, when greeting and talking to a female,” in general. Oh, Lucy, you are just TOO MUCH!
