It’s practically an all you can eat buffet welcoming to squirrels. That’s all they need and want to know.

Why should Ziggy think that? He thinks birds can talk.

your re-inventing the wheel again Ziggy. There are REAL solutions. p.s. wild birds don’t talk to people any more than squirrels read.

You do realize Ziggy, that there are squirrel proof feeders. For some people, providing squirrel food may deter squirrels from bothering the bird feeders. For other people feeding squirrels is actually fun. I know this is just a cartoon and meant to be funny right? But it seems that Ziggy is putting a lot of sweat equity in trying to keep out the squirrels when it would be eaiser finding a way to feed them.

Or I can look at this cartoon in another light. That just maybe Ziggy is trying to take the sign down and he does realize that animals can’t read and the feeder is open to all nature.

Formerly fairly competent Ziggy has become a bird-brain. And Mr. Bluebird is now a Ziggy-brain.

The sign may be directed to his cat, whom we know can read pretty well.

Making sense of comics is futile.

The ad for the Ziggy Goes for Broke book link says “Ziggy Goes Broke”.

They only pretend that they can’t read!

Encouraging squirrels to come around by feeding them only invites them to dig in every part of your yard, garden, potted plants… nothing is safe from the tree rats!

Maybe if the squirrels are on the ground, the fact that Zig is up on a ladder without pants will act as a deterrent?

Having oak trees is NOT a squirrel deterrent.

Sign should read.. “Squirrel Parking Only”

The bird can read and talk……hence the fact that all intelligent beings are referred to as “bird brain”….ha ha ha!!!

The sign should read “I’m one rung shy!”.

Squirrels can’t read… but they’ll love the new swing set!
