Use your brain and figure out what you can afford. Maybe a used Corvette that needs a little work. If nothing else, you should be able to afford a model Corvette!
That’s how I feel about those birthday fundraisers people put on Facebook. If I know them really well, I would already have sent them a card and/or present. Most of them I know just enough to chat with and wouldn’t send them a present (maybe just an e-card).
