Common vehicles measure their fuel as MPG. Big RVs measure it as GPM.

These day, you should start saving for a college fund for your kids when you get your first job. Glad she had a great vacation.

Started out in the 1960’s with teeny tent for two. Then owned a popup trailer called Nimrod. Canvas top, slide out beds, stowage under them, no appliances. Trailed like nothing there and a super camp out experience. Later went to large tent, which was also great fun, but missed that trailer. Camping fun faded when the chains began to replace the ‘natural’ spaces with motel features and the only night music was the sound of multiple A/C compressors and tv’s. Not much fun there.

Sad song: The times they are a-changin. Bob Dylan, 1964, and he didn’t know the half of it.

Education generally speaking should be free, everyone benefits from having and education and having educated neighbours. Plus it affords you the odd RV trip…

See my comment of a couple of days ago. I never got out of a gas station without paying a couple of hundred bucks.

Brand new ‘56 Merc and three weeks to travel New England. Roadside cabins, 3 meals a day at roadside parks, take the next turn if the sun gets in dad’s eyes; and no destination until it’s time to head home.

http://www.gocomics.com/frazz/2019/08/16A good bike racer — really, a lot of different kinds of racers — will tell you it’s speed that keeps you in the race, but it’s acceleration that wins it. Likewise, it’s the obvious that fuels most of our learning, but it’s contrast that really lights the bulb.
