Ask your boss if he can cut you a deal on a set, maybe he has a set he can loan you, but you don’t want almost two tons of Impala to fall on you or Grace or any of your friends because concrete blocks broke under the weight.
The satisfaction you’ll feel when you one day turn that hunk-o-junk into an actual working vehicle will far eclipse the sense of defeat you’re feeling right now.

A rebuild is best done in under a cover or inside a work place, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I rebuilt a ’55 Chevy outside one summer. It was in West Texas so not a lot of bad weather to worry about.

My first car was a ’63 Chevy. Mine was a Bel=Air with Impala front fenders. It was a lot easier to get a ’63 back in ’71.
