My Westie does a pretty job of ruining perfectly good couches. The back of our present living room couch provides a perfect platform to view the backyard and even though I throw a blanket over the back he’s managed to slowly cause the stuffing to sink and conform to his body. Of course I could insist that he not sit on the couch…right!

Personal experience has shown me that 6 out of 9 cats will play fetch, including bringing the object back to be thrown again many times. 2 out of 9 will initiate the fetch session by standing over the object and yelling until it is thrown. 2 will toss the object into the air and swat it at you until you participate. 1 will bring the object to you and politely ask for it to be thrown and 1 will climb onto the back of the couch to drop it on your head and then swat you to make sure you are paying attention to the request.
