When they wrote into the Constitution the “ten miles square” for the seat of government, as well as federal acquisition of lands for forts etc., did they really plan on a city with such a large RESIDENT population?
The part we gave back to Virginia has representation. Just give the rest back to Maryland, leaving Federal buildings only in DC. But give Statehood to Samoa & Puerto Rico.

DC has more people than Wyoming, and almost as many as Vermont or North Dakota. Don’t they deserve the same representation?

Puerto Rico and Samoa voted against becoming a state. There are benefits to remaining a territory. No such option for DC.
