Senator Sanders is an avid capitalist, and America ain’t Venezuela.

The American presidency is for the temporary administration of our self-governance. Our future is up to us –- not the president. Ideas are what matters.

Insisting that the wealthy and large corporations pay their fair share in taxes.

Increasing the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $15 an hour by 2020. No one who works 40 hours a week should be living in poverty.

Breaking up huge financial institutions so that they are no longer too big to fail.

Putting at least 13 million Americans to work by investing $1 trillion over five years towards rebuilding our crumbling roads, bridges, railways, airports, public transit systems, ports, dams, wastewater plants, and other infrastructure needs.

Reversing trade policies like NAFTA, CAFTA, and PNTR with China that have driven down wages and caused the loss of millions of jobs.

Creating 1 million jobs for disadvantaged young Americans by investing $5.5 billion in a youth jobs program.

Fighting for pay equity by signing the Paycheck Fairness Act into law. It is an outrage that women earn just 78 cents for every dollar a man earns.

This, again, leaves Payne with the task of countering his perception of Democratic Socialism with the christian-conservative Fascism he and fellow Republicans are fighting to entrench into our once proud and respected country.

Question: Which propagandist, Payne or Gorrell, is more like Hannity?

I’m just tired of responding to argumentum ad venezuelum. Bernie Sanders (Democratic socialism) is different from socialism which is different from Hugo Chavez’s right wing regime. They are all different things. By invoking Venezuela, you show no creativity.

Why would anyone want to travel to Venezuela when we have a dictator-wannabe flushing the country down the toilet right here?

If John Bolton has his way, Venezuela will be a future layover for our military… PNAC lives.

“Blackouts! Medical Shortages! Poverty! See The Future!”

Henry, you blithering idiot, you’re describing the present reality in your beloved Detroit and the capital of your home state, Lansing, under the conservative Republicans who run it. I guess you can’t see beyond the privileged streets of Bloomfield Hills where you reside with it’s huge, 2% population of blacks and latinos.

I have realized, finally, that there is a basic dishonesty in Republican reporting.

Orthocuban, the technical term is that Republicans lie about EVERY issue.

AND, they greatly admire the massive corruption of the Trump administration.

Why bother with Venezuela? Just look at all the terrible things he did as mayor of Vermont’s largest city, turning Burlington into the infamous hellhole it is today!

Venezuela is no more socialist than Russia, North Korean, or Iran. These are corrupt dictatorships. Now, the Trump admin is putting 686 billion into their favorite socialist organization this year – the US military.

Mr. Payne: Venezuela is not a socialist country. It is a communist country that has evolved into a kleptocratic dictatorship. In kleptocratic dictatorships, one person or family has power over everything and all possible profits are gathered to that person or family (Maduro in this case), which then distributes some of that money to their supporters who help them stay in power. The general population is forced into submission and poverty by a purchased military. Except for rhetoric about how much the dictator cares about the common man, he does not give a rat’s patootie about them. They only exist to provide monies and production that the dictator can garner and store offshore. This is exactly what your exalted leader Trump is doing to the United States. Wake up and stop supporting him before it is too late.

If only Payne and other ignorant conservatives were as tired of spreading these lies as the rest of us are of hearing them.
