How does this differ — other than scale — from lying about the routes and root causes of drug/human trafficking and gang violence to justify an unaffordable unwanted wall? Some lies are better than others?
This Smollett story is like a big fat Christmas present to the Right Wing Noise Machine. Gives them something to breathlessly wail about instead of more concerning stories, like the Coast Guard Lt. prepping his right wing jihad, or the voter fraud case involving Mark Harris.
Then again, if the Smollett incident had never happened, they’d just go back to their good old standbys of screeching about Hillary/Pelosi/Hillary/AOC/Hillary/POCAHONTAS/Hillary/Omar instead.
