Here’s a thought — I know it’s just crazy talk — but we could follow the Constitution and ensure due process for all citizens. Heck, maybe even throw in a little morality and an example of what American justice and fairness is supposed to be into the mix for all the world to see.
Guantanamo should never had been opened and should definitely be closed and all released unless they really have something on them they can bring to a court of law.
Well, let’s see. We have a woman of (apparently) questionable birth status in the United States who would like to come back here after willingly leaving and joining an organization that has committed unspeakable atrocities against anyone that disagrees with them and has actively advocated for the downfall of the United States.
Yup. I guess we should just welcome her home with open arms and no questions asked.
Excuse me if I think a little time there might be necessary.
They used Gitmo to not jail ‘em on US soil. But Gitmo has been US ground since Cuban independence as a permanant lease for a coaling station. Given that it would cost about 1,000 as much to keep them in a super max here, close Gitmo.

Good work, Mr. Ramirez. You keep us thinking and sometimes before we speak. You woke.
