Careful, Lisa. As a conservative you should probably change the subject when the topic of ‘hate crimes’ comes up.

You know, drawing someone you disapprove of as a rat was the late, great Herblock’s defining example of bad editorial cartooning.

Tell me again the advantage to our two (and only two) OPPOSING party system and how it pulls the union together.

Keep it up Lisa, the alt-right deflection scam has worked before, you can make it work again. Of course, your Dotard is in the throes of around two-months of losing. Surely filing a phony police report can overcome Dotard’s treason. Surely!

The left leaning media outlets are on a roll lately and being exposed for their lack of journalistic ethics and clear biases. Their news reporting has started to resemble faux news commentary for the obvious agenda they’re pursuing. Freedom of the press does not mean freedom to lie, distort, omit inconvenient facts and purposely deceive the public.

Attack of the robo-cons! New point to add to the old faves such as deep state impeachment, “illegal” investigations in Russian influence in U.S. politics, and, of course, failure of {insert name} to fund “The Wall”.

^ Let’s not ignore or forget … The Chicago P.D. did work diligently to uncover the Truth! This hoax was discovered … Now, perhaps, Benson can return to the “WALL Hoax!”

The more unbiased interpretations of Mr. Smollett’s actions recognize them as clearly racially biased against another ethnicity. For what? Personal gain by prejudicing against others he does not like? Thank you again, Lisa, for your accurate, but sad, portrayal.

He just got the idea from fearless Bonespurs “national emergency” to deal with the border and caravans of fightening babies heading our way.

Put him away. Throw the book at him and sentence him to the maximum available.

He put the residents of the city at risk by draining valuable resources. A dozen detectives at one point. How many REAL criminals went free as CPD tried to find the fake assailants? How many leads and tips for REAL crimes were set aside and went cold.

He also put the nation at risk. This episode had the potential to devolve into demonstrations and even violence. It could have sparked confrontations that ended in injury or death.

Finally, he has seriously damaged what little fragile trust exists between the black and white communities. By crying wolf he has introduced doubt in the future claims of blacks who really are victims of race motivated attacks. Especially in light of the Covington debacle.

But there are some people who need to share the blame. Starting with the journalists who should have known better. His story stunk from the first moment. Within 24 hours it was obvious to anyone with a functional brain that it was a hoax. But the media desperately wanted it, needed it to be true. It was a real time validation of their anti-Trump, anti-conservative, anti-GOP agenda.

Meanwhile, Federal employees are still separating immigrant children from their parents … Apparently, Benson and her fellow RWNJs just don’t care … They’d rather twist their knickers!

“When anyone makes false claims to police, it not only diverts resources away from serious investigations but it makes it more difficult for other victims of crime to come forward.”

“Part of the tragedy of this situation is that it distracts from the truth, and has been seized by some who would like to dismiss and downplay the very real problems that we must address. We should not allow that.”

    ~ Kamal Harris 02/21/2019

A little less dramatic than my comment, but hey, I’m not the one who has to backtrack from calling it an “attempted modern day lynching.” And it only took her 3 weeks. Wow.

I feel like the Trump 2020 campaign owes Smollet some kind of sign on bonus.
