Pulling troops out of Syria may well be a good decision. Doing so on impulse, without a careful plan, in apparent consultation only with a strongman, and leaving allies scrambling is the work of a sick presidency.
I’m trying to think about this seriously. This probably isn’t the right place to do that, but here goes. Question: “Does the world function only if there is some kind of Imperial system?” If the answer is “Yes, there has to be an imperial system”, then the question is “How should the empire be managed?” I would say that if the US wants to be the center of the empire, it should do its very best to manage it in a way that is consistent with democracy and human rights. The US has not done a very good job at that. Those who believe in an American empire should work hard to make it be the best empire possible. But if the answer is “No, it’s better to try to set up a system which doesn’t have an imperial center”, then the question is “How do we do that?” Well, the UN is one attempt to do that. The UN has done a lot of good over the years, but it hasn’t really worked as a replacement for an imperial system. Those who don’t want an imperial system have to work hard at finding some workable alternative. End of thoughts. Reactions?
The Douche has done very little right… but not nothing right: He’s signed the sentencing reform bill. He rejected the evil TPP (for the wrong reasons, true). And he’s moving troops out of Syria (badly).
Of course, we should never have had troops in Syria in the first place, and the way he’s pulling them out is a cross between amateurish and bone-headed (maybe that’s where he keeps his spurs?).

Isn’t there some National Cartoonists’ Board that can confiscate Payne’s crayons?

Payne and #45 are ‘peas-in-a-pod’ when it comes to critical thinking!

Its not that we are finally pulling out, its more about how he is doing it.

Is this supposed to be a Democrat? Trump caught the most pushback from Republicans, not to mention his very qualified SECDEF.

Look at the vicious liberal in the car trying to force people to respect and conserve the earth, life and peace.
Quite the opposite of the war mongering coal burning Republican liars and thieves that we all know and love.

Spot on. Liberals even screamed at Obama for putting the first boots on the ground in Syria.
