Yup. I remember when toy cap pistols were standard Christmas gifts, with or without holster.

In the Old West one day, a cowboy rode into town and tied his horse to the hitching post in front of the saloon. He then walked behind the horse, lifted its tail, and kissed it. He kissed that horse right square on the posterior tip of the alimentary canal. An old man sitting on a rocking chair in front of the saloon couldn’t believe his eyes. “Dang, Mister! What the heck did you do that fer?” “Well,” the cowboy replied, “I got real bad chapped lips.” “Is that supposed to cure ‘em?” Asked the old timer. “Nope,” said the cowboy, “but it sure as heck keeps me from lickin’ ‘em.”

There’s a great scene near the end of “Shane” where little Joey runs around doing exactly what Charlie Brown is doing.

Shermie’s western-style gloves are great but they go over his elbows, which would have been ideal for baking cookies but real cowboys didn’t do that in the old days—their mommies did!!

Of course if you have laryngitis your revolver has a built-in silencer……….

Did you run out of “caps?” (Anyone?)

The Indians … er, Native Americans … um, Indigenous People’s don’t have that problem. They kill the good guys with arrows and the tomahawk chop.
