Maybe his situation is relevant to any individual who’s been wronged by a large corporation. Many of us agree with what he draws and writes about Mrs. Clinton. You’ve got to be a real bozo to lose to someone who will surely be regarded by historians as one of the worst, if not the worst presidents ever.

In the meantime the lawyers on both sides keep getting richer no matte the final outcome. It is how much justice can you afford that motivates the US legal system.

The U.S. legal system is a fine tool for effecting injustice.

Sorry, Mr. Rall, but when I consider the massive injustices people face in criminal cases, I can’t get too excited about a civil suit. Criminal justice reform, a priority under the Obama administration, is now on the back burner in the Trump era, as you well know.

It is too easy to sue when you want to do things wrong and get away wit it. Just ask Donald.

This proves that our justice system prefers those with money over those without it. Rich people and corporations can hire people who can delay these proceedings and even re-roll the dice when outcomes don’t fall into their favor. If only there were a Congress and President who gave a damn about our corrupt system of justice…

SLAPP Cases Decided by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals …

    https://www.casp.net/…slapp…/slapp-cases-decided-by-the-ninth-circuit-court-of-appe…

The 9th Circuit panel holds, as a threshold matter, that denial of an anti-SLAPP motion is an immediately appealable “final decision” in federal court under 28 U.S.C. 1291. “Because California law recognizes the protection of the anti-SLAPP statute as a substantive immunity from suit, this court … will do so as well.

A strategic lawsuit against public participation (SLAPP) is a lawsuit that is intended to censor, intimidate, and silence critics by burdening them with the cost of a legal defense until they abandon their criticism or opposition. … The typical SLAPP plaintiff does not normally expect to win the lawsuit.

Corporations use SLAPP’s to knock down little people, thanks Republicans!

As Craig Murray wrote recently “Unfortunately the courts are an instrument of power and control for the 1%, not an impartial resort for justice”.

It’s not a level playing field when it costs more than an ordinary person can afford for them to defend their rights against the rich and powerful.
