It is and always has been about REDISTRIBUTION of wealth from the middle class working people who produce it to the wealthiest corporations and the few richest elitist heirs (such as the Koch brothers, Walton heirs, Mitt R-money, Bush family, and of course Donald Trump and his kids) who inherit their billions from Daddy, never have to work a day in their worthless lives, and believe they should pay a LOWER tax rate on their investment profits.
They believe workers should WORK HARDER for LESS MONEY on which we pay a HIGHER TAX RATE, so the few richest elite investors can WORK LESS (or not at all, depending on how much they inherited from Daddy) for MORE MONEY on which they pay a LOWER TAX RATE (or none at all, depending on how many loopholes, shelters, deductions and offshore Cayman Islands accounts they can hide their money in).
Always struck me more as Ahab chasing Moby Dick no matter the cost. But certainly this works too. Trouble is, the whole country will have to wake up next to this guy.
