    Just seems like lot of (uncooked) spaghetti. I usually use 80-100g/person.

    Why put the half the cheese in the ovenproof dish first so it is on the bottom. Also, never rinse pasta for a baked dish as all that starch on the outside of the pasta helps the sauce stick to it.
