I thought that’s what people did on Facebook. Then all their unburdening got sold to the advertisers so they could target them and sell a product that would take care of that burden…along with their name, address, credit cards, credit history, religion, sexual preference, and anything else that could be stolen.
BTW, folks, I just discovered something. You know how sometimes you are now scrolled quickly all the way to the top after you click “COMMENT”? Well, just hit “ENTER” and you’ll be zipped right back to just under your comment. Apparently, since it still is opening a comment box for the comment you just made, hitting enter immediately puts you at that box.

There you go, Jeff! Let it all out! (Don’t forget to put your quarter in the slot).
I will definitely head over there next.

I don’t get the impression that Jeff is asking for understanding.
Nor is he seeking help with the things he can’t understand.
The sign only says “Unburden Yourself.”
For a quarter you get to admit to things you’ve been reluctant to confess.
Jeff has been embarrassed by his lack of understanding…
the world, the technology, the young people….
it all whizzes past him and he feels like a fool….
but he’s never said so till now.
The sign is non-judgemental….
whatever you get off your chest, it will absorb in non-threatening silence.
What you say to the sign, stays with the sign….
as long as you pay your quarter….
and nobody is standing close enough to overhear.

Leave a quarter and walk away with an empty bladder.

There are a few citizens of Ballard who would take the opportunity to unburden themselves of their clothes.
And gladly pay a quarter. I’d identify said person, but I’m on my phone, so I’ll show you tomorrow, unless someone wants to… Susan, Dennis?

And you can feel more buoyant, lighter… well, 25¢ lighter…

Money well-spent as long as you think so. Perhaps you understand more than those who say they do.

You would reduce your burden by the weight of one quarter at a time.
