End the backbiting of our current “media”, and begin respecting each other, and themselves, could lead to communication when folks shut up, and listen.
End social media? It will never catch on. People are too addicted to having their opinions instantly broadcast to a large audience on Facebook, twitter, etc. In fact, I recall a story where Danae panicked when she was out in the woods and couldn’t get a cell signal. She was desperate to check twitter.
Dinae’s idea is brilliant, but the target audience is wrong. We all want Google, Facebook, banks, businesses, etc. to sign an NDA to keep secret MY personal ID information, etc. a secret and NOT sell it to 3rd parties!!! THEN the world would be a better place.
It’s like getting big money out of politics. 90% of the common people are all for it. The main people who are against it are the politicians who depend on it, who are the very people who’d need to enact it.
It would be the same deal here. Everyone who wants a little peace, quiet, and sanity would sign the NDA, and the only people who wouldn’t are the ones everybody wishes would’ve shut up in the first place.

And yet communication is important to all of us. Except for the occasional mutant hermit.
