Apparently, Chip is a purist. There is a battle amongst grillmasters that is fierce – and you don’t want to go there. When it comes to competitions in Texas – ONLY charcoal.
That’s right. Time to fire up the cheeseburger machine. Hot dog, steak, chicken and shish kebab machine, too. Gotta get some mesquite and a bag of hickory chips for the smoker. And a bag or three of potato chips for the doggies.

Ahh … the charcoal grill vs. gas grill debate. Both have their ups and downs, in my mind, but either way, the grilled flavor beats the alternative.
