As un-American as Trump may be, he has a significant portion of the electorate convinced that rules and regulations are an inconvenient nuisance … and chaos is better.
A new case study by Harvard Business School asserts that U.S. politicians have rigged the system to such a degree that the U.S. is becoming a failed democracy. The authors of the case-study use the word ‘hijacked’ to describe what the political parties have done to governance in the United States.
@Bozhi – if you believe that, you are either in the pay of Putin or are a complete idiot. So far, Trump has failed to even offer a CANDIDATE for many, many positions.
I don’t trust anyone who has spent a lot of time inside the beltway, except Liz Warren and Bernie, and a few others who have made names for themselves being a pain in the a.. to the rest of the organization. No, I don’t believe that the Republicans and Democrats are in cahoots to destroy our democracy, but I do believe that they are fighting each other for the right to destroy it in the direction that they choose. Since I prefer the Democrat’s destructive plan to that of the Republicans, I vote Democratic. However, the American people are not being duped. They understand that neither party is for anyone except themselves. The Democrats were successful in the last election in nominating a Washington insider. The Republicans won because the voters proved that they would vote for anything that wasn’t a DC insider. If Bernie had gotten the nomination, he would have won. The Democrats knew that he wasn’t part of their club, wouldn’t be controlled by them, and consequently spend all their resources defeating him, handing the White House to whatever God awful thing the Republican, who are in such miserable shape they were unable to control who their nominee would be, managed to nominate.

TRAPPED IN A MAELSTROM – {limerick}
It’s a maelstrom cacophonic, -
- swirling in patterns cyclonic
while our nation’s in limbo,
feebly akimbo,
stalled by a prez who’s moronic.

{Off the cartoon’s topic:}
“WILE” isn’t worthWHILE – {limerick}
The smiley Kim tends wiley,
while the trumpeting Trump tends “Wile E”.
Roadrunner, Coyote
get each other’s goat,
so nothing gets done worthwhile-ly.

RHYME-WORDS AG’INST TRUMP – {limerick-like rhythms}
{1} His non-thinking tends quite erroneous,
with common sense not harmonious.
{2} He’s quite acrimonious
in speech not euphonious.
{3} His greed has him quite felonious.
{4} with Facts parsimonious.
{5} in Acts cacophonious.
{6} Deceptively sanctimonious.
{7} in Many ways Trump’s quite phony-ous,
a sham, his scams quite baloney-ous.

At this point Trump would be worried if it wasn’t storming outside – then something would REALLY be wrong.

Come and listen to my story bout a crook named Trump
Moved into the White House and called it a dump
Then one day kids were shot at a school
Trump went to dinner with some NRA fool
