Napoleon’s Corporal. Every team needs one.

We tend to think of Brother Leo as light on intelligence, but is he light on wisdom? Intelligence comes from the brain; wisdom comes from the heart. Western culture values brain over heart.

You need to be a priest to be appointed Cardinal, and I don’t think Brother Leo is. Monks and friars who are also priests use “Father” not “Brother.”

That may not matter though. It’s a comic strip.

You’ll notice the portrait of St. Francis of Assisi on the wall. Leo is wearing the robes of a Franciscan and the Pope chose the name at his election and installation. The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement use “Brother”, though most are ordained as priests.

The Catholic Church needs more of their Cardinals to be like Brother Leo.
