Words vs. deeds, as usual. Which is why I am determined to ignore Twitter and focus on what is being done behind that smokescreen. The policy folks in the administration have probably come to embrace his Send button, as it draws the spotlight from the real impact-laden efforts that should be under greater scrutiny.
Do as I say, not as I do?My dad came here in the ‘50s with no English, worked into his 80s at medium income jobs, & left my brothers & me an inheritance close to a million dollars from simply saving, no stocks.Every comfort I have is owed to that immigrant. Sadly, he was critical of today’s immigrants & unwilling to accept their struggles as similar to his.Sort of like Ike, without the golf.
We could be so much more than we are today, but our leader’s vision of the future is clouded with old, often unfounded, biases about immigrants which take priority over facts and statistics.
Three things about immigration that must NEVER happen:
1. Never, ever prosecute a business that hires illegals.
2. Keep the H-1b and related visas coming. Make sure that Mar-a-lago and Silicon Valley have all the cheap labor they need.
3. Do NOT, under any circumstances, create an effective e-verify system — what we have does not work, which proves it can never work and besides, it’s too hard.
===
Instead, The Wall will keep out all the illegals, especially those from those s***h*le countries.
OT: The easiest way to keep kids safe in schools is 1. Build a strong FENCE around the Schools. 2. Have 1 entry point and keep it LOCKED from the inside. I thought I had a 3. but the only hitch is if they need to get out in a hurry, they would have to streamline exiting the Door. I’m thinking about how that can be done better.

On the plus (VERY plus!) side, Trump seems to have as his primary goal an eventual weight that rivals Taft’s……..

I dunno; playing golf seems like excessive exercise for Taft. Did he really drag his enormous lardbutt out on the links?
