When Obama proposed a similar budget it was DOA. But, let a Repub get the WH and its AOK.

I don’t think the current GOP, is at all worried like the elephant is shown above. This is not your father’s GOP today.

When you have to borrow money to give rich people tax breaks your math is way off.

I always thought that a Trump’s budget included bankruptcy.

I really miss the fiscally conservative, socially progressive, Eisenhower Republicans that I grew up with that cared about the poor and immigrants. The GOP is so far from that today, and cannot see that they’ve lost something very essential, very American … to cater to the wealthy and an aging base.

PLAN??? What plan? Oh—magic beans will make $1.3 trilion grow from an investment of $200 billion, cannibalized from programs like health care and transportation. Genius!

“Take everything you’ve heard and multiply it by 50,” Priebus told author Chris Whipple, whose book on White House chiefs of staff, “The Gatekeepers,” will be released in paperback next month with a new chapter on the Trump administration.

Eisenhower saved the taxpayers millions by ensuring the interstate system would last 50 years. They did this by hiring competent engineers and using high grade concrete. And, what did we do 50 years later. That’s right, we asphalted over them because 1. we didn’t want to spend the money by doing the job right and 2. by having to repair potholes constantly we established an ongoing pork barrel for our friends, wink wink nod nod. Why don’t the best and brightest run for office anymore. Even if we did work on infrastructure I doubt we would do it as well as Eisenhower.

Conservatives have only ever pretended to care about fiscal responsibility. Just like they only pretend to care about any other issue other than consolidating wealth for those that already have too much.

Always keep in mind, NO President EVER “produced” a Tax", a Budget" or a “Law”, those are all functions relegated to the Legislature. The President only provides “Guidance and Direction”! And Donnie provides the ‘guidance’ depicted by the character played by John Candy in “Eastward, Ho!”

Reagan killed “fiscal conservatism” years ago with “Reaganomics”.
