    As my correspondent, LT Kate, has observed in her own service, those traps have “Viet Cong” written all over them, especially the “pungi pit” ;these were terrible things for the young, inexperienced American soldiers to face. You learned really quickly about them- one way or the other. (Either smart….. or dead.)
