Spud you might as well enjoy the swim because that fish is more than capable of eating the entire ship and all hands on board with one bite. If one is going to be devoured by a fish regardless of whether you are on the boat of not, you might as well enjoy the before as much as possible.
When I was 9 or 10, me, my brother and a friend would skinny dip at a lake on my uncle’s farm (it was secluded, acres of no one, we weren’t supposed to swim alone so we didn’t want our clothes wet and our hair dried before we were back). Anyway, there was nothing in that lake but fish, turtles, and frogs and I have no idea what my friend stepped on, but he convinced it was some kind of monster and he took off running, bare naked through the fields. It was hilarious.
