Shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Fox News host Sandra Smith noted that her network “has confirmed” that President Trump indeed called African countries “sh*tholes” during a meeting with lawmakers on Thursday. “President Trump lamented ‘s—hole countries’ during immigration negotiations on Thursday with lawmakers in the Oval Office, Fox News has confirmed,” a story on the network’s website reads. That put President Trump’s favorite network at odds with the word of the president.

So, WHICH ONE of them is a LIAR, FAUX Noise, or Dumb Donnie??

Remember when “news” was objective -- presenting all sides -- and not just a single aspect?

    " …

Confirmation bias, also called confirmatory bias or myside bias,is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one’s preexisting beliefs or hypotheses. It is a type of cognitive bias and a systematic error of inductive reasoning. People display this bias when they gather or remember information selectively, or when they interpret it in a biased way. The effect is stronger for emotionally charged issues and for deeply entrenched beliefs. Confirmation bias is a variation of the more general tendency of apophenia.

People also tend to interpret ambiguous evidence as supporting their existing position. Biased search, interpretation and memory have been invoked to explain attitude polarization (when a disagreement becomes more extreme even though the different parties are exposed to the same evidence), belief perseverance (when beliefs persist after the evidence for them is shown to be false), the irrational primacy effect (a greater reliance on information encountered early in a series) and illusory correlation (when people falsely perceive an association between two events or situations).

    …"

Notes on Donnie’s “Awards” ceremony: first and foremost; I am rapturously looking forward to hearing of both the ‘nominees’ AND the eventual ‘winner’! As Donnie obviously doesn’t realize (using the words “Donnie” and “realize” in the same sentence is truly what gramarisns refer to as an “Oxymoron”!) ANY news story he si ngles out will give just cause for the ‘media; to accentuate and explore that “Fake News” in depth! (I’ve heard it said that the Awards won’t happen; that ‘cooler’ heads in the White House will prevail to stop it! Really? “Cooler” heads? The very fact that a person is serving under Donald John Trump in ANY capacity is AMPLE evidence that that person is “mentally” compromised! Remember that the physician treating John Wilkes Booth was as roundly condemned as the Actor, himself!)

Secondly, the news organizations, generally, have been loath to label Donnie’s various utterances as lies, but the sheer volume of his lies have evidently exhausted the media’s “synonym” dictionary repetitive excusal of Donnie’s verbal transgressions!

Thirdly, political media editors seem to have thought that “good” reporting must meet the ‘fair & balanced’ criteria of presenting BOTH sides of any argument! It is only now occurring to some that in SOME cases, there IS no “other” side and that to insist that there is ALWAYS two sides to every ‘argument’ is to acknowledge and PROMOTE that which is evil in the world!

It’s rather like the old attempts to present “both sides” of Hitler and Mussolini by saying that “at least” Adolph loved dogs and “at least” Benito made the trains run on time! There never HAS BEEN and never WILL BE any other description for what Donnie utters other than LIES, LIES, LIES! And to label them otherwise does a grave disservice to the American people!

It is really amazing that this Politifact article mentions that government employees may not use their positions to promote or denigrate companies, but the president is exempt from these rules. The rules governing presidential actions need to be tightened. No one ever expected someone so vile becoming president; it is really sad what his base will accept.
