Idiots always talk about the “tax and spend” liberals. Seems like the cons only know how to “spend”. At least the Dems know that things have to be paid for.
Essentially the exact opposite of what is happening. The GOP spends more than the Democrats but only on the military and tax breaks for corporations. The supposed job gain from all this is swamped by the debt. Everyone else gets either nothing (except cut services) or a pittance that will go away after five years – while corporate tax breaks are permanent.
I wonder what would happen if congress had to prove that every bill adds measurable value before it could be voted on … like we have to do at the places where we work?
Steve, since it seems a majority of your “readers” are only here to bash your comics, I wanted to say that I like them. I don’t know why anyone would read something that angers them so.
How dare us lowly peasants have the temerity and gumption to think that we know how to spend money better for ourselves and our family than some brain dead career hack politician or bureaucrat does.
Who the hell am I to think that I can save it and invest it and see far better dividends on my 401(k) than Social (in)Security?
Sorry, Kelley — You’re spreading misinformation … This “TCJA” is a pay-off to GOP campaign contributors! Sadly, it increases income inequality, too. But that’s OK when you support ‘Government of, by, and for the RICH!’

Hey Steve! You have the characters reversed. But you’re too self-righteous to realize that, aren’t you?

“The rich get richer and the poor get poorer” goes an old song from the Great Depression that the Republicans began.
