i hope the demos don’t bungle it up and find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory….the republicans made a serious mistake in its choice of candidate so demos should not think it was all their doing….the repubs made it doable.
One win is not a trend. I really hope the Dems don’t take this as a national mandate and screw up the 18 election. We need majority winning, not 1 special election. Still, it IS positive.
If we can’t have a coalition of all the socially conscious political parties, then the Democrats had better start appealing to all the voters and not just a few. You have to have a platform that galvanizes everyone. If you’re not for the people, all the people then you’re probably against way too many people to deserve getting elected, which is why the Democrats have a lousy platform. It’s too narrow. It doesn’t appeal to everyone or not even most of the people. They have been bought out the same way that the Republicans have been bought out, but they weren’t paid as much for selling their souls to the CEOs and the big business interests. They better buy back into the American public. They better start getting a lot more socially conscious of the iniquities and abuses that are going on in this country and addressing those issues in their political platforms. They should start listening to what Americans are saying is necessary and needed in their public political Representatives.

@Random – Not so positive when nearly half the voters go for such a deplorable candidate. You are right not a trend……..yet.

Let’s hope the donkeys don’t become jackasses and think that their tepid business-as-usual approach of 2016 will work again in 2018.
