I need to stockpile cash so I can buy up property after the depression hits. It’s gonna be a doozy.

It’s amazing how a pile of sh*t can be made to look like roses.

Well, there’s rosy and then there’s a psychotic break with reality.

@Masterskrain, @Ajmsdca — When a contraction in the market hits, (I haven’t heard of anyone predicting the end of the business cycle) watch out for big business swooping in to buy up publicly-owned lands and resources, aided by their previously-purchased members of legislatures. Maybe that’s why they have so much money stashed in America and overseas.

@PIOBAIRE – Well, the CHINESE are really quite adept at purchasing and improving the infrastructure of indebted countries, so I suppose it’s time to learn Mandarin.

The sad part is a full third of us see the roses and are very forcibly trying to make the rest of us see them. We need to talk about the elephant in the room, but the GOP keep stealing elections. Jones showed us how to break the stranglehold of the unpopular right, it is a stretch to take the Senate, but if the Republicans keep tweeting and choosing disgusting candidates, there is a chance we can have a real tough-on-crime congress.

The current Congress is willfully blind to the criminality that got the present administration into the White House and is willfully ignoring the on-going criminality of the current ‘occupant’ of Oval Office. And the current majority in Congress, while not ‘technically’ breaking any actual laws, if operating in a totally unethical fashion to get their agenda passed! However, they are so totally INEPT that they can’t even accomplish THAT! The American people need to rid ourselves of these incompetent morons just to put them out of their misery! It’s like your child’s Little League team losing by a score of 32 to 0! Someone, please, call the ‘game’! The current G.O.P. is just embarrassing themselves (and the country!)

Reminds me of our state legislature. Back during the Bush years when everything was rosy they increased the state employee pensions but they did not plan on how to pay for that in bad economic times. 2008 happened and we are up to our noses in debt and cursed with a legislature that cannot fund the state budget. Mostly the Republicans keep pulling smoke and mirror tricks with funds and allowing more gambling. Family values my _____!

Anyone follow the Kansas Brownback experiment? https://www.npr.org/2017/09/30/554506190/trump-s-tax-plan-has-echoes-of-the-kansas-tax-cut-experiment

“Who says our economic outlook is too rosy?”

In spite of the fact that you’re describing it as “rosy”, all I can see are thorns.

If it results in anything at all that’s good for the country as a whole, that’ll be a bloomin’ miracle.
