Have you seen where Trump has retweeted a video from Britain First… An extreme right anti-muslim group who’s editor has been charged with various felonies having to do with the laws in England against hate crimes? Now he’s totally alienating one of our best allies.. England! England is now saying Trump is not welcome there anymore!

Nonracist Americans understand why what Trump said was wrong, conservatives don’t seem to find anything offensive about the slur. I think he is just being “presidential” again. Abuse of Congress is an impeachable offence. I think most people find name calling, especially racial slurs, offensive. Trump’s name calling was done at an event “honoring” Navajo code talkers, all under a portrait of Trail of Tears orchestrator Andrew Jackson. This all reads like a case study in offensiveness, and still some people don’t get it. It really doesn’t matter what Warren’s heritage is, Trump is using the name of one Native American woman as a slur against all Native American people. This probably has less to do with Warren, and more to do with showing those Navajo their place in Trump’s America.

The Navaho Code Talkers said they were no more offended by what Trump said than they were when the officers in WWII told them to yell “Geronimo” when they jumped out of planes.

So everything’s copacetic now…

BTW: the story of why paratroopers yell Geronimo is actually pretty funny. (Unless you are a Navajo being told to yell it as you jump into an uncertain fate.)
