It seems we really do have a corrupting spirit about our country. A known pervert gets elected to high office. Other perverts expound from the pulpit and their backers have blinders on so that they do not see.
It has been said that the US is the new Roman Empire. If so, at it peak, Rome was said to be full of perversion at all levels. Are we not coming to that point?
I know people who vote party line regardless of qualifications. They talk about their party of the past though that state of rectitude hasn’t existed for decades. We must vote for the best of us, not the one that looks the part or makes us laugh, or otherwise entertains us.
We should look for those that do or would likely be able to cross party lines to get things done. We have some of them in congress, now. We need more of them, party affiliation, not withstanding. Look to the heart of a leader, their past actions, their present convictions not just their talking points.
We owe this to our selves, our nation and our children, our future.
I’m leaning toward the explanation that the photo of Al Franken was staged (perhaps not unlike the ones where his accuser is groping various men, or where she is enthusiastically participating in the kiss she claims was forced on her). The photo’s timestamp and the clothes she is wearing contradict her story that it happened on the plane.
This is why Franken has requested a full investigation—an investigation that his accuser doesn’t want. Which of these two sounds more like guilty behavior? Demanding it be looked into, or trying to change the subject?

A picture of him not even touching her over her body armour, grinning for the camera? With all the rape and child molesting etc that over a dozen women have accused Moore and Trump of, and neither the least bit contrite – not a single apology – yet you pick on Franken? Bye-bye.
Let’s have the ethics investigation, determine what we are going to do about grabby Senators, then apply it to all of the grabby Senators still seated. If we are going to oust them, lets get rid of them now.
