In my experience Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are amazing! And they take more time with you than the doctor. And it’s certainly easier to get an appointment if you do not insist on “the doctor”. These folks are NOT second rate.
Our Doctor of twelve years is switching to a concierge service at $5.00 a day per person that comes to $3.650 per couple. As we are both on SS it is out of the question.I went to the local Fast-Med Urgent Care for my chronic cough and the Nurse Practitioner diagnosed my condition as Bronchiectasis a chronic condition where the walls of the bronchi are thickened from inflammation and infection in the bronchi. something that no other doctor has been able to tell me in over forty years.
