must be a tad undercooked (like it was s’posed to be cooked for an hour, but only had 15 minutes)

She should have cooked it in the crock pot.

I didn’t know that there was such a thing as rare, or medium-rare, roast beef until I left home.

My mother was a typical Irish cook when it came to meat – she couldn’t overcook it enough !

Wouldn’t have been so bad except it was meatloaf.

A pressure cooker does wonders. 15 or 20 minutes will have it done and tender.

My grandmother over cooked a lot gravy and ketsup works wonders.. also mayo and mustard… depending on what she was cooking… Must be and Irish grandmother thing…

About 50 years ago I met wife’s parents for the first time. They had a few chickens roaming around the house,killed the rooster and, after cooking for several hours, served it. It was so tough that even the sharpest knife could barely cut it. Could not chew it at all. Horrible. This was not in the US. It was in very rural Korea in the middle 70s

Chompity? Was that his teeth clacking?

Don’t let him spit it into his napkin!
