I have a feeling that Mrs. Godfrey might actually be interested in Nate’s comics… Or the comics could be about her and she’d rip them to shreds and send Nate to detention again… This arc seems to be an interesting one! :D

@ellensays I really am going to the anti-poll side, you are making polls unenjoyable. There is no need to begrudge hev1 and try to beat him to the featured comment. You are really pushing it. Just because the strip mentions a word doesn’t mean it’s related XD

If I was hate I would tell either tell Mrs Godfrey that it isn’t his, or dive in and run to the Social Studies room (which hopefully is not far from where they are now) and grab it before Mrs Godfrey does.

Nate is in quite a dilemma. If he goes to Mrs. Godfrey’s room to get the book with such eagerness, Mrs. Godfrey might be suspicious and want to see what is inside (if there are drawings of her, Nate will get detention). On the other hand, leaving the notebook conspicuously in the middle of the room is just asking for someone to look in it (however, teachers don’t usually snoop in their students’ books but other students may).

Prediction: Godfrey will either

b) Look in Nates Notebook and be impressed by what she see’s and joins Nate’s cartooning meeting.

c) Doesn’t even look in it and puts it in the lost and found/her desk.

d) Looks in the notebook but doesn’t know how it belongs to until Nate barges in looking for it.

Guys, the obvious thing to do when someone is spamming is to flag it and move on. Don’t reply and say that they are spamming! that just makes them do it more. They want replies. And then that’s why I’m not writing this under other people’s comments. This is like facebook or instagram. The more replies and likes you have, the more people comment and post. I literly came in May, and had no idea what spamming was. The Big Nate comment section including me needs to get it’s act together!

Lets get something clear. Anyone here who is complaining that the polls get featured comment is a complete and utter hypocrite. The only reason you care about the featured comment is because you want it for yourself. You pretend to be the good guy here and want the best for the comment section but all you care about is getting likes and replies. Don’t try to say you hate the polls for anything else than the attention that they get that you are jealous of. Truly pathetic

@EllenSays, is this some indirect way of getting the featured comment?? I mean, there’s no reason you’d be getting information from such a shallowly populated population. This place isn’t for polls and I’m not sure why you won’t find a more attractive base to make polls on. (Notice how I didn’t reply to your comment.)

How come ellensays is referred to as a male? Ellen? Really?

I’m still neutral out of disappointment. Sure, even if Ellensays is a troll, no matter how hard anyone tries, off-topic or attention seeking polls will always show up in the future, and there will be people defending them. Sure enough people could flag them, but that’s not always the case. The only way to disable polls forever at this point? Disable the comment section in Big Nate. This comment section is in a bad enough state for me to want this to happen. The Narwhals are still defending Ellensays who is obviously an attention seeker trying to get featured, and you have hundreds of comments not talking about something as trivial as polls. 0A1S did the right thing by telling us to not rant about polls and just silently flag them if you want, but suddenly like 80% of today’s post are ranting about them. What would Mr. Peirce think of his most of his “fans” caring more about polls in a comment section than the actual strip?
