    Good day after Thanksgiving Vagabonds

Cloudy now, clearing as the day progresses. Temps, maybe the 40s.

My Thanksgiving went well, one drumstick did not survive, well, the bone did. ;-)Hope you all had a good holiday. Any of you do Black Friday? I prefer not to myself, I’m a slow Christmas shopper.

Joy to you all and a good day.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Mark, I tried Black Friday once about 10 years ago. Never again. In fact I told Michael that if he thought I was going anywhere outside this campground today, he’s insane.

Our Thanksgiving was quiet as expected and the meal was great. Michael roasted the turkey breast in the cast iron dutch oven over charcoal, and it came out perfect. I was surprised that there was even a lot of juices and the meat was still moist. I dumped the juice into the bottle of gravy I had bought and it added the perfect amount of extra flavor. The turkey breast I bought was one of those “half” birds that was ribcage and breast meat only. Michael deboned the breast meat and that’s what we roasted. There was no room for the whole thing in any pot we have in the RV.

It is supposed to get up to about 77 today. Nice day to sit outside (in my screen tent of course) and read. Later, though. It’s still below 40 out there right now.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Good morning Vagabonds.

Had a good time yesterday. Everything went well. Karen did a great job making the meal. She is an organizer and worker. Everyone had left by 8 pm so Barbara and I finished up putting stuff away. Went in and watched the news at 11pm and I fell asleep at 11:30 and woke up at about 1:30. Then went to bed.

Going to be a very quiet day as we do not go Black Fri. shopping. We already have done some shopping and anything that’s on sale, we do not need or want. I don’t even think I’ll go to the gym. Just get my paper.

At least it’s a sunny day even if it is in the 30’s right now. Be in the 40’s later.

Every one rest and rejuvenate and will see you all tomorrow.

    Morning, Village!

    .

Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving! I was so tired I slept for 9 & a half hours. Didn’t get up till 7:30. Not like me at all!

We did find a great Black Friday deal on the internet. After we sent the wife’s iPhone 5 back, we found an iPhone 6 at Walmart Online for 129 bucks. Couldn’t pass that up!

    Good morning, Vagabonds,

We, too had a great day! I managed to plan the “cooking” in-between FaceTime calls. And, by the end of the day, I was exhausted! We put on our traditional movie……..“Miracle on 34th Street”. Such a sweet film. Edmund Gwenn makes the whole movie!

We’ve always been turned off by Black Fridays. Too many people, and like Jan said, there’s nothing on sale anyway that we need or want! I am glad for the retailers, though. I always like to see the economy skyrocket.

It’ll still be warm today, so I hope to get in a longer walk again. Gotta work off all those calories from yesterday!

    xoxoxo….Happy Trails.

    Good afternoon Vagabonds.

I also avoid the Black Friday sales. I haven’t been to one in almost 10 tears. I can no longer stand the crowds or standing in the long lines. My husband and I looked at the ads and discussed the things we either needed or wanted and on Wednesday night when the sale started on line he put in our order. This is so much nicer than going to the stores.

Our Thanksgiving was nice and quiet. And we all had an enjoyable day.

The weather here is warmer than normal. Mid to upper 60s and sunny and that is also our forecast for the next 5 days.
