But it’s cutting subsidies in the states that supported him the most. How soon do you think they are going to realize that he has shafted them?

We can expect health care costs to rise 20% due to Mr. Trumps actions.

Thanks Republicans, it is sure to pay off for you at the ballot box.

Our congress people aren’t as intelligent as the governments of other OECD nations that have instituted less expensive, more accessible healthcare where people do not have to lose their homes to cover medical bills. Our congress is exceptional at partisan infighting and ignoring the working class though.

Trump once again shows what a bully he is: he arbitrarily cuts federal subsidies (which may be above his pay grade; he’s already being sued by 18 states for not carrying out his job) and then says “Democrats, let’s deal.” That’s not a deal, that’s blackmail. Especially when he begins to claim it is all the Democrats’ fault, as the cartoon above notes. THERE IS NO DEAL HERE. The only thing that would make Trump happy is putting his name on something that gets him praise. That’s it.

And it may not even work, of course, if the courts strike down his nonsense as they have before. If it does, then the Democrats have an opportunity to reveal just how much nonsense this is. Trump is playing games with peoples’ lives to suit his ego, nothing more.

Democrats are to blame for creating something that worked for the poor, they should have known the Republicans were not going to let it last.

It imploded in less than a year. That is why the previous administration illegally redirected funding to cover the excess claims.
