    My mother was verbally abusive as well, supposedly for my own good. It doesn’t work that way. It makes a person feel worthless when you constantly criticize. While I lived in her home I had no choice but to put up with it but if she came to live with me she’d have had to knock it off or find another place to live. Tell her that Sam!

    That’s not parenting. That’s not wanting the best for someone else. That’s re-living your life while correcting all its mistakes through your child. Should never have happened then. Knock it off now. Don’t particularly like Liz’ cultural indoctrination, but…her house.

    if you were reading a book about how to be kind and accepting of people’s flaws this would get a pass. but comics readers here certainly like to take the opportunity to hate Hate HATE
