There are STILL some pockets of resistance. Especially among those of us who are NOT on Farcebook, Twitler, Whyspace, and whatever OTHER time-wasters have been created in the last 5 minutes!
If anything the age of Trump has revitalized real news. I love it when I see young people scouring newspapers on campus and people in the coffee shops perusing and discussing theirs over a cup of Joe. While subscriptions are probably still down, I see the vending machines being emptied out early and the local grocers running out. So is “real news” dead? I’m sure Fox and Breitbart wishes they were. It would sure make spreading their lies easier.
True journalism has been suffering slings and arrows for some time now. What the “acting President”, Reagan, got away with was a real turning point in popular view replacing taking a real look from those in the media, print and electronic. Then along came folks just writing their own “news” on “social media”.
Before the election the ‘journalists’ swallowed every Trump lie, ignored Hillary’s facts and failed to follow up on the Russia hacking the election story. Their constant fixation on liar Trump elected him.
I’ve pretty much decided to delete “facebook” from my life since they’ve been proven to have colluded with the Russians to ‘throw’ the 2016 American election to the Republicans – I notice they give you several days to ‘reconsider’ your decision before deleting your account – how nice. Not likely, though. As Warner said, "They paid for the anti-clinton ads in rubles, so there was NO WAY of mistaking the source of the ad and the content was crystal clear as well, so they can plead neither ignorance nor stupidity!

Welcome to the world of “new media”, it happens every time a new method of content delivery is created, evolve or die along with broadsheets.

It worked so well for Trump last time, watch for him to make Social Media the official State Press Outlet. Trump would like to add you as a Comrade!
