Right… the mother was lazy… or Elizabeth is too unsure she can make a meal herself.

A bread, butter and lettuce sandwich? I think I would go with bananas too.

A peanut butter and banana sandwich is very tasty.

The list wasn’t finished, Lizzie interrupted her.Lizzie was told to make her own lunch after she complained about what was made yesterday. She can make her own, but is too lazy . Let her eat bananas for a few days.

Well, Lizzie has a friend sitting right next to her. We traded and shared lunch bits of our own lunches. Who ever was lacking a lunch for what ever reason, was sure to find something to eat from our group.

Does Michael make his own school lunch, too?

I learned very fast about complaining about the food available at a meal. One time I mentioned having a certain type of sandwich and was asked if I wanted something different than what was prepared—I got it and I never complained again—ever and that was 61 years ago ! ! !

Not very smart Elizabeth. Dawn’s mom is friends with your mom, so your mom is gonna find out what you said.

Lazy, yes – when I was in grade school, it was my job to milk the cow before going to school, and hunt her in the pasture to milk that night. But, for the first three years, I walked 1/4 mile to school and came home for dinner. Then, due to one room schools being closed, had to walk 1/2 mile to meet the school bus. Liz has it rough!

Aw, poor little princess is being told to do something for herself. How horrible!

Too bad Elly’s not a fly on the wall to overhear that. Lizzy would have a blistered bum when she got home.

Bananas are actually quite filling and good for you. I like them under ripe. Don’t eat too many at once….there are consequences to that….

Bananas are dessert.
