Well, I have officially given up on trying to reconnect to BC. Offensive, and just not funny.

He needs to be very careful from this point – Big Broad does not have sense of humor

Hilarious! Written in the days when we knew how to laugh!

That’s an insult to dogs everywhere.

A lot has changed since 1960 which is a good thing. This comic should never have been run in 1960 and it should immediately be taken down now. Right now. I will immediately remove myself from this unfunny “comic” that I once enjoyed because I am not laughing but am indeed deeply embarrassed.

@baabaroo: Considering how many tv series and specials treated most women and sometimes men in such a fashion, I am guessing you have not had a tv set in your house since about 1965.

As a fan of B.C. since I was a kid, I knew this day was coming, though this particular strip is not in any of the B.C books. (I have about all of them). As a word of warning, there are also Chinese and Polish jokes coming up, so if you are sensitive to this, it is best you leave now.

This strip was printed in 1960. Obviously there has been a change in attitude since then. That’s what time does in a progressive society. I used to reach US history and revisionism only obscures the past’s reality. One cannot change what actually happened so why get upset about it? Learn from it. Would today’s strip be printed in 2017? No. So we learned from it.

Coming from the time it was, I find this more palatable than the ones he did that pushed his religion.

Well, I see the snowflakes are crying. Get a perspective and quit trying to impose your PC BS on the past.
