I get the impression that Chuck wants to sing his name in “The Name Game” song over and over. And it is understandable. Though everyday is good on Ballard St., Mondays have no redeeming features ( other than that at least they are only 24 hours long ).
One is always well advised, to approach Monday mornings, with a certain amount of fear, trepidation and hesitation. It does no good to plunge headlong into the week’s mayhem and madness without doing one’s due diligence and deliberation.
Like Chuck, I prefer to ease gently into my Monday. In my case, fortified by a couple of cups of strong Ecuador coffee or black tea. All decisions and conversations are deferred until my brain and body have been sufficiently stimulated by my daily doses of caffeine.
Chuck has good reason to be a bit trepidatious. He’s waiting for Walter, his ride-share to show up. Chuck normally drives, but unfortunately, Walter insisted on driving today. It’s going to be a tense, white-knuckled 45 minutes or so until they reach work. A very tough way to start the week.

Hang in there Chuck. After all, it’s only the first Monday of the week (some weeks can be that way). Gawd, I’m glad I’m retired.
