Justice always suffers under oppressive regimes. We should be the standard that others look to for justice, not keep racing to the bottom so we can be more like NK. That is not how to make America great again.
The terrible irony of this is, if he had simply asked for a copy of the poster, they probably would have given it to him.
The 15 year sentence at hard labor, just doing the labor and letting him go after a year or two would have been harsh, but for that country, appropriate. They obviously did much more and that was totally wrong.
I would like to know how Un’s big buddy Dennis Rodman has to say about this.
“Empathy” what does that mean? All I wanna know is what programs can we cut that benefit the “takers” so I can have a bigger tax cut. Oh and, Get off my lawn!
Justice suffers under Trump every time he attacks a sitting judge or a district court. Justice is obstructed by Trump when he fires the FBI director to stop the investigations into his campaign. Justice is attacked when the head of the Justice department willfully lies to the Senate committee. This is all happening under Trump, and worse, we’ll take her away if he is left unchecked. JACK, you really need some better sources. Most of the people taken to Guantanamo were innocent – their enemies turned them in because the US was paying rewards. Most did not go to the battlefields (it wouldn’t be “return” since most weren’t there in the first place) but I’m sure the ones that did were looking for revenge for being tortured. There were several deaths and there were many permanently damaged. The US reputation was also terribly damaged. The future of captured US soldiers is endangered because of this.
