Huh. Close To Home’s done this gag before years ago…I remember because I showed my dad, a computer tech, the comic because I knew he’d get a kick out of it.
This isn’t a repeat though…the comic I’m thinking of had a different punchline (something about “and then he was never seen again” in reference to the poor sap who suggested this) and had everybody at the table giving him death glares. Someone also snapped their pencil in anger.
Still…just as true and funny now as it was then, so…
