Get a laser printer. Yeah, toner expensive too but lasts a lot longer. I got a great Samsung laser for $100 on a Christmas sale, B&W.

I recently spent over $400 for my HP color printer. Not gold but almost as good as gold.

No real danger. Chances are they won’t fit your printer!

I’m hoping that we will soon have printers that all take the same cartridges! (We will hear loud crackling, cold-brittle sounds from the underworld when that happens)

See what you all don’t know is that when you buy the printer you are actually buying it for less then what it cost them to make it. They make money when you buy the supplies which is why the “starter” cartridges you get with the printer are 1/4 full. I work for one of the printer manufacturers and it boggles the mind when you find out they sell the printers for a loss. as for the laser printer toner being cheaper it is much much cheaper you can figure 35 to 50 cents to print each page on an ink jet printer and 3 to 7 cents a page on a laser printer plus toner is a powder that doesn’t dry out like ink jet cartridges do…….
