Someone should tell Burt to put a sock in it.

Burt’s always trying to toot his own horn.

Take it from an old brassman, the hazards of playing tuba at the communal anything are greater than the hazards of reading.

Well, I was going to ask X if it had to be a pair of tuba socks…..

But…. A) that’s such a lousy pun no one would get it….

or if they did, my life would be in almost as much danger as Burt’s.

And B) It’s a Sousaphone, not a tuba… so “tuba socks” makes no sense at all.

Anyway…. Liverlips…

In any case, I agree…

even on Ballard St, playing that thing at a communal table is a one way ticket to the ER at the Ballard County Broken Back and Bashed Bones Clinic and Convalescent.

Marching to the beat of a different drummer, who keeps time for Burt.

A tuba solo can be quite moving, if done correctly.

I recommend the reader change tables and put in earplugs.

I think Ned should stuff Burt’s head in it.

Tuba players have to take special care of their teeth… with a tuba toothpaste…

You know the more I thought on this, I figured Burt has got some brass, horning in on Ned’s quiet time like that.
