Right on, Pres. Obama never claimed to be a Liberal. He is a Conservative and Neo-Liberal.

Who was the last President that publicly embarrassed the CIA? JFK. How’d that work out for him? Obama isn’t opposed to any of those measures at a personal level, but….

Trump will want to drill in the arctic because he thinks Global Climate Change is made up. This will reverse the slowing of a man-made disaster. Trump will want to defund Planned Parenthood which helps low-income families receive medical assistance. Trump wants to help Russia as much as he can because he is making money from doing so. Trump will have no problems with spying, drone-killing and persecuting whistle-blowers, he also wants to expand our torture program.

Funny how someone here can claim, without ever, ever offering the slightest bit of evidence, to have the Truth! And then claim others, using science and measurement are following a religion. Even though investigative work is quite the opposite to his own decrees of what will happen, which we are supposed to take only on faith. What a liar!

    .

Aridity does not lead to warming. The simplest evidence is the fact that arid regions reflect more sunlight during the day. (Simple proof: look at pictures of the earth. The bright land regions are desert.) And arid regions cool rapidly at night, with no water vapor to hold back infrared radiation from the surface. Desert nights are cold. Only something which holds back the infrared from escaping the atmosphere will lead to warming of the arid regions. Like CO2.

    .

But to follow up on the faulty line of reasoning, if Aridity leads to warming, then Mars should be warmer than it is. It is, in fact, pretty cold, and would be even colder without its nearly pure CO2 atmosphere. So no, aridity does not lead to warming. (We could increase the temperature of Mars more by adding water vapor, but that is difficult because the atmosphere is now so thin that when water does go to water vapor, it cools and condenses rapidly.)

    .

Warming will increase aridity, even as precipitation increases (because water vapor will increase here). And that warming is coming from human created CO2, nowhere else. That’s actual science, not some “truth” plucked from someone’s butt.

Show us proof, buttercup. Show us your models. Show us your calculations.

    .

You refuse because you are a special buttercup, endowed with superior knowledge to all the published experts, who are only priests. Your answers are the mark of the crank.

    .

Please show us algorithms that show how increased precipitation is going to change the albedo. Especially since most of that increase is initially going to take place in places that are already green. Show us you bloody coward.

    .

And only a truly ignorant fool would claim that climate models don’t take into account the properties of ice. BTW ice is an insulator, heat transmission is relatively poor, so most heating affects only the surface, so the idea of it being a heat sink really depends upon the scale of time. Even I, who am not a climate scientist, know that Antarctica’s thermal mass means relatively slow changes to the interior. But not to the perimeter, where interaction with the sea matters.

    .

You offer nothing of value. Not even wrong!

I’m not selling anything, you crank.

I understand thermodynamics better than you. I also understand that the time required for the changes you mention is too long to matter with regard to AGW. Your answers are again, not even wrong, just plain irrelevant.

You are a coward, hiding behind bluster and misdirection. And aridity does not cause warming so you cannot get the science right.

    .

That warming will lead to increased aridity in regions vital for human food crops was demonstrated in the paper I cited. And in a time span of decades not the thousands of years of natural glacial cycles. And yes, buttercup, as I have stated, that paper does show an increase in precipitation. Yet aridity will increase in many areas. You, you have nothing to offer except slights to scientists.
