Since it is officially Christmas eve, I want to say – Everyone in my house is joining in to say, we wish everyone at Ten Cats a happy Christmas day! (and with me and 21 cats, that’s a whole LOT of wishing!

Good morning and a happy Christmas Eve to all my fellow Graham Crackers.

An early Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy Hanukah to all my friends. I will be taking mom (age 96) to my brother’s house in Powder Springs, GA, for Christmas.

A late comment on yesterday’s thread since I only get online in the morning (eastern standard time), I always thought diagramming sentences was something the nuns did to us in elementary school to keep us quiet and to express their dominance over us (they were mainly German-American nuns). lol. Now, I realize that they were teaching me how to think logically, something lacking in today’s schooling.

You grammar fanatics stop ragging on poor Oliver! He’s just a little kitty. (Should be enough that he even talks.)

It’s just a fun cartoon, lets not over analyze it!

Heavy rain in central Calif most all night. Lots of minor flooding, but none around me. My outside feral colonies got wet so I had to change out beds and dry out some areas. Had to move some cats to areas they don’t want to be, but it’s just for the night. Some of the poor things were soaked and actually allowed us to dry them off some. Heavier coated cats did not suffer as much as those with short hair. They were still very annoyed, but it did not stop them from eating!! Nothing seems to stop that. Couple of them have coughs that are troubling, so their drinking water is laced with an antibiotic. It actually works. It’s intended use is for cattle but works just fine when the dose is adjusted for cats. More drying out today and fresh bedding yet again. Tending the cats is becoming more and more difficult as we get older. We will do it as long as we can.

The best presents are the ones that entail some sort of effort and not just a few key-taps on the internet.

I’ve been missing the last few days, I have a house full of family, I made 3 pies and Pecan Sandies this morning and there’s dinner tonight and tomorrow….I think I will spend January in bed!!!

Whoa! When I mentioned pet peeves in grammar, I wasn’t talking about little Oliver! He’s just a little baby kitty and he can use all the poor grammar he want’s to! Besides that, this is just a comic strip and poor grammar can be excused here. I don’t want to come off sounding like the troll we sometimes see here. It’s poor grammar in supposedly educated adults that gets on my nerves sometimes. Kids and comic strip characters are exempt from the rules of proper grammar.

Oh how my late mother would love today’s strip. She was an English teacher…it nearly broke up her marriage. LOL.
